Event offers aircraft rides, skydiving jumps

The Dubuque Regional Airport will host a free Open House from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13.
The airport will exhibit the following businesses and organizations: U.S. Army Reserve, Civil Air Patrol, Windstar Lines Inc., University of Dubuque Aviation Department, Experimental Aircraft Association, Iowa Flight Training, Key City Flyers, American Eagle Airlines, Transportation Security Administration, Fly DBQ Cafe, Tri-State Sky-Divers, Dubuque Jet Center and Chartaire Inc.

Multiple aircraft and equipment will be on display on the airport ramp along with several aircraft in the Dubuque Jet Center hangar. Aircraft rides will be available, weather pending, through Iowa Flight Training for $20 per person. For more information, contact Tim Busch at 319-373-3971. Tandem skydiving jumps, weather permitting, will be available, but you must pre-register by contacting Tri-State Skydivers at 563-590-6779.

Members of the Dubuque Thunderbirds Hockey Team will be signing autographs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 327 will have its 20th annual EAA Pancake Fly-In/Drive-in Breakfast also on Sunday, Sept. 13. Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to noon in the Blue Skies over Dubuque hangar. Breakfast costs $6 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 12, and children younger than age 5 are free.
