Canadian water skier Jaret Llewellyn of Innisfail, Alta., took the overall silver medal on Sunday at the world championships. Canada ends the competition with two medals and fifth place in the combined team standings. On Sunday, Llewellyn placed eighth in jump, soaring 64.1 metres.

World record holder Freddy Krueger of the U.S. was the winner at 69.5 with Timothy Bradstreet of Australia second at 67.5 and Rodrigo Miranda of Chile third at 66.0. Kole Magnowski of Winnipeg was 12th.
Llewellyn was also eighth in tricks and 29th in slalom to finish second overall with 2,700.21 points. Adam Seldmajer of the Czech Republic edged the Canadian star for top spot at 2,751.96. Ryan Green of Australia was third at 2,652.19. Jason McClintock of Cambridge, Ont., was 12th in the men’s slalom final. On Saturday, his sister Whitney McClintock won gold in women’s slalom.
